This is a case of necessity is the mother of invention- for both race horses and purebred show animals, every.single.animal. needs to have a unique name for record keeping purposes.
Imagine trying to come up with a cool username if you aren’t allowed to add random numbers and underscores- only pronounceable words. Now imagine that this website has had tens of millions of users, and even after someone leaves the site their username can never be recycled.

LISTEN this is only going to work under set conditions, like I think it might work for quarter horses (don’t quote me on that) but for thoroughbred race horses in the United States (i.e. the ones who run all the big races like Kentucky Derby, etc.) you’re limited to eighteen characters including spaces when a horse is registered with The Jockey Club.
Therefore you could have a horse named Pedigree Bingo, or Shitpost Bingo, or Pedigree Shitpost
But unfortunately Pedigree Shitpost Bingo isn’t gonna win a Triple Crown or Breeders Cup race anytime soon
