➛Poke them

varae-ver-you-are:

Naptime meant that Varaelian was given a short time to rest himself. Or at least, he would hope that Tylla and Kira could sleep long enough to let him rest. He laid back on the couch, feet hanging off the other end with his hands folded neatly in his lap.

Peace.

Tylla snuck from her bed and slipped into the grand parlor, seeing her now sleeping father in the distance, but hearing his snoring from down the hall. With a quiet giggle, she crept into the room and closer, covering her ears when he made an especially loud snore, alike a rumble of thunder.

Tevruden passed by the door and looked in, furrowing his brows as Tylla jumped up and began to poke her father then ducking away as he twitched and swatted at a hand that bothered him, “Tylla. What are you doing?”

“Playing.”

“He’s asleep.”

“That’s what makes this fun!”

AAAAYYY that thing I said I’d open however many years ago? Mama needs himself money for an xbone and Halo 5 tho. Of course it’d be Halo that finally kicks me out of my thousand year coma.

What you can get:

1.) Stylized Hardstyle: Full bodies with emphasis on motion over anatomy. Easier for me, cheaper for you.

Examples: [x][x][x]

$35 base price ( $36.35 with paypal tax)
Every extra character is $15 (in other words, a picture of a couple would end up being $50 (

$51.80 with paypal tax))

2.) Hardstyle: Just full bodies. More emphasis on anatomy, more energy intensive, more expensive.

Examples: [x][x][x]

$40 base price (

$41.50 with paypal tax)
Every extra character is $15 (in other words, a picture of a couple would end up being $55 (

$56.95 with paypal tax))

3.) Painted Portraits: Floating heads for everyone. Possibly underpriced. Tendency to change more drastically from start to finish.

Examples: [x][x][x]

$60 base price (

$62.10 with paypal tax)
no extras

  • Once we’ve agreed on what you want I’ll give you your price (Paypal tax included). Payment has to be sent to Clockworkteadoll@hotmail.com before I start working.
  • Won’t draw: straight up porn, gore, backgrounds beyond vague shapes and simple gradients
  • Will draw: robots, non-human peeps (not super great with animals just a warning)
  • will send progress WIPs so keep an eye on your e-mail
  • The more references the better.
  • Accepting five of each type. Will catalogue progress below to keep everyone updated.
  • Wanna stress that these take longer for me to complete than my personal work and I try and work on them in the order I get them. if you’re worried I’ve forgotten you, please check the progress below. If you still think I might have forgotten you, please contact me. I do make mistakes and I want to make sure everyone gets what they paid for.

Going back to the send money method from invoices since some commissioners were concerned with how invoices worked and I think I have a method to catch accidental shipping issues from my side.

If you’re interested, please contact me over at Clockworkteadoll@hotmail.com

plankhandles: That commission reminded me, this was as far as I got with this pic before I packed up my big monitor and my tablet. I really want to finish it up when I get to DC. There’s a lot of details to be put in still, and I want to explore color in Manga Studio 5.

Harrowheart for plankhandles 🙂 I really wanted to draw his wrist-things.

I absolutely adore this. I don’t want to ugly this up with my commentary, but it’s just phenomenal. So atmospheric, so perfectly captures his personality. Kott’s got this amazing way of drawing weird looking people that speaks to my soul.

You didn’t see more Horde than Alliance in Warlords, you saw more Orcs. Those Orcs were Iron Horde, not Horde.

Maybe this shows my age, but no matter how hard I try, I just can’t accept digitally created works as valid. You simply do not end up with anything. You can’t hang it on the wall. You haven’t actually created a thing because it exists as a JPEG of pixels instead of pigment or medium applied to a surface.

drovie:

:

You should probably stop looking at art online entirely, then, because every single work of art on the internet is a JPEG no matter how it was made.

The Mona Lisa is a JPEG to millions of people who will never go to France.

You can hang it on a wall. That’s what printing is for.

Digital art is just another tool for artists to use. It still takes skill to use well, it still takes a LOT of practice and training. You still need to understand anatomy and color theory and composition and perspective, etc. etc. You end up with a beautiful work of art. Half the artists (actualy more than half at this point) who work for wizards of the coast on their magic the gathering cards… are digital artists. But you’re holding their art in your hands when you play.

Is it because there isn’t an ‘original’ to buy? What do you think people do when they can’t afford/the original isn’t available? They buy prints. Which are.. digital images of the artwork that’s been printed up for them to hang on their wall.

One tool is not better than another tool, at the end of the day, it’s all in the skill of the artist that makes the art valued and important.
