I’m amazed at how many people are taking off of work to play Inquistion. What’s even more amazing is how these people manage to hold down a job in the first place. When you sacrifice your adult responsibilities for a video game, that’s usually a good sign to re-evaluate your life.

That’s like saying “I think it’s amazing that people take off a week of work to go on cruises and vacation.” For some people taking time off for DA:I is a vacation. I’m allotted that time by my work, and I get to spend it how I want.

Seriously.  This is a VACATION!  They requested time off, likely a few days or maybe a couple weeks.  Before that time hits they saved money, got as many extra hours as they could, all so they can enjoy something.  Should someone reevaluate their life because they wanted to take time off to go to a road trip, on their honeymoon, visit family?  My husband took a three day weekend off so he could play a new video game he’d been waiting for a year to get.  He saved money, worked extra hours for those who didn’t want to work on whatever shift, and when he got that three day weekend we were just fine.  I was happy to see he was having a good time.

So you can shove that high horse up your ass and reevaluate what you just said now.

Also considering some people don’t GET vacations. If you work at a mom and pop store like I used to, where the boss gave you a week off after two years, then asking for a friday off so you can play all weekend is legit your only vacation.

so, yeah. don’t just sit down, sit in the fucking corner.
