I drew myself as a D&D character a while ago and forgot to post it to tumblr, WHUPS, but they’re a Tiefling Warlock who has a pact with some kind of otherworldy alien being. Also they hang around in pubs and look glam and bully people for having poor taste in fashion because they’re trash!!!

I kissed behind his ear (and then he punched me in the arm, he’s shy in public) and I heard one of them whisper to the other something along the lines of “We get to see close up yaoi on here!”.
(Neither of us are even Japanese)
I was kinda offended, so I took my boyfriend by the hand and left.
It made us feel very uncomfortable.
I just want to say:
Our love and relationship isn’t for your entertainment.
Nor is it here for you to fetishize and sexualize.
Please just keep your “yaoi xDD” to just fiction, and please do not call us “yaoi”.
Many dismiss this as not a problem, which I find rude as they have never experienced this so they don’t really have much to say against this.

Really? I guess being accepted is just as bad as being hated. I bet of the girls had hissed in disgust he’d be sobbing and ranting about acceptance.
Except this isn’t acceptance, it’s fetishization. This is two girls looking at two boys in a relationship and making it about their own entertainment. Yaoi is made for a female audience so when you call actual gay men “yaoi” you’re essentially saying gay men exist for women’s enjoyment.

Fill-a-Page February (or FAP February) is a challenge to content creators to fill a page in a sketch book, or a note pad, or a digital canvas, with…stuff, every day for the month of February.
