I was like

Do the weapon item levels change based on your toon? I’ve gotten 655 rare swords and 522 rare swords on two of my DKs. Do they give you higher ilevel/epic swords under certain conditions (character level, avg ilevel, etc)?

It seems to depend on the ilevel of the weapon they’re replacing. I’ve gotten weapons of various item level because of this too.
