As Varaelian grows older, he watches as the ones he loves so dearly pass away. He sits by them and shows them their past and time together, watching with them until finally they pass.

He doesn’t know when his life will end like them. He watches over their children and grandchildren, the memory of who he was eventually fades and the only one left is Tevruden. Together they watch as the flowers return to the Dead Scar and life blooms in all the lands that death has touched.

The world is different.. Yet he remained the same.

“Last time you said you had a plan, I nearly lost a toe.” Varaelian wiggled his clawed toes and lifted his head to look out to the field before them, “She’s going to see us coming.”

“She’ll see you. Why are you in that form in the first place?”

“I thought we were practicing for something!”

“We aren’t.”
