An old story about mechsuits and identity, copied from my former twitter account (originally written on August 10th, 2018).
So the war comes, and we have to use mechanical exoskeletons to have any chance of fighting back. They’re mind-linked, so you control them by just thinking of moving, and they learn from you to get better, predict your motions, and you become a better fighter.
I don’t think I ever posted this here, but this was a failed painting I did a while ago of Nyx and Hemera. It just wasn’t turning out how I wanted, so I hope to re-do it soon, but still wanted to share cuz there’s some aspects to it I still like.
All my guardian characters have a celestial form which was what these were supposed to be, but they weren’t turning out as hoped, particularly Nyx’s. I’m always so indecisive with Nyx’s design it annoying, and she has at least 3 forms damn it >:/
When a random rash turns out to be a spreading transformation in process. Maybe he got it from a recent hike trip or was bitten by a snake without realizing it? Whatever it was, he’s got a lot of questions now.
I wish they’d at least just be fucking honest “No no no, I’m racist so talk to me like a white supremacist about it.”
The way that your average “polite” coded racist white people talk to feel out if you’re as racist as them is nauseating. This is the kind of stuff I want to just keep saying “what do you mean?” to over and over until they’ve backed themselves into a corner. I’d love for someone to get to reply here “OHHH so you didn’t actually mean safe, you meant white neighborhoods.” Let’s lay all the cards on the table.
