Thinking about Tev and the idea that over time the longer he’s a dragon, the more dragon-y he looks when he shifts back.
Not that he can’t totally shapeshift all the way back, just that it takes effort on his part– the idea hes come away from everything different, is a really neat thing I wanna explore.

YURI GOT HIS PARENTS BACK HE’S UNORPHANED!!!! HIS PARENTS HAVE BEEN RESURRECTED FROM GNOLL STATE! THEY ARE HUMAN AGAIN!
BTW I need to post the transcript (from memory) because it’s fucking heart wrenching. For context – Yuri’s parents, Petyr and Vera, were slaughtered by gnolls. The last thing they remember is shouting at their seven year old son to run and hide, and then…they perished. Yuri watched them be torn apart.
So when they were finally resurrected (and freed from their gnoll bodies)…
The two Galkins awaken, holding hands and wearing clothes that are not their own. They scream in fright – for moments ago they were in a rural homestead, being torn apart by hyenas, and the next, they’re in a strange tower with a group of people staring at them intently, one of them with a great pair of white wings.
‘Where’s Yuri?!’ they shout in unison. ‘The gnolls – where are they?’
The aasimar, Sayid, calms them. ‘Yuri is safe,’ he says calmingly, ‘he’s safe, and we are his friends. You two have been gone a while. We sent Yuri away so he didn’t witness the resurrection, but he’s on his way back…’
Just then, the main door opens, and Yuri stands backlit against the bright morning light. Silence fills the air as, for the first time in twelve years, he sees his parents again. He tries to speak, but nothing comes out. He had practiced his introduction hundreds of times in his head before, what he would say when he saw them again, but now, seeing them in front of him, he doesn’t know what to say at all.
Finally, he squeaks out, ‘Hello, my name is Yuri Galkin, I am twenty years old, I am your son–’
But before he can get another word out, the two run up and embrace him. It doesn’t matter that he’s thirteen years older than they remember. It doesn’t matter that he’s fully transitioned, or is in the company of such strange friends. All that matters is that Yuri is safe, and they are together again.
