I imagine that since he uses blood magic, in his case, his death wounds sort of kinda appear to be healed for the most part, leaving nasty scars. Only not really, because once he doesn’t have enough energy to sustain himself like that, the regeneration process ceases, the wounds all start to re-open, flesh falls off where the burns were, and he looks like shit. Until he finds something to kill, at least.
Oh and also, his real name is Bernard Hawkins. Roteye is just a nickname, but he doesn’t mind being called either way.
