dr who’s on first, doctor strange is on second and doctor house is on third. theres no way theyre getting through a single inning

so who’s on first?

That’s right 👍🏻

that’s strange

No, he’s on second.

Well how’s he on second if he’s on first?

No no no, House is on third. Second base is Strange.

Well this whole darn thing is strange but what I’m asking is who’s on first?

Naturally.

Who?

Naturally.

So Naturally is the first baseman?

No. The first baseman is Who.

Well I don’t know that so how’s about you tell me?

House is on Third.

I’m not asking you about third base I’m asking you about first base.

Who’s on first!

This is horrible

Dr Horrible is the pitcher, not first base

That’s not what I’m asking about! No!

Dr No is in the outfield, but let’s not worry about them right now.

*applauds wildly*

am I finally free

YEAHHHHH ok. I need to post about this but uh. Tumblr has a very fun glitch! If you press R ONCE on the desktop ver of the site, it will reblog the focused post instantly, no tag editing or blog selection. it may accidentally post it a couple more times , but that’s it.

however. if you fucking hold R? it’ll reblog the post instantly too, but MULTIPLE TIMES INSTANTLY. like I hit post limit bc I thought it wasn’t actually reblogging the post. I only held the r button for a solit 10 seconds for it to reblog that post 200+ TIMES. my big ass mistake

either use or abuse it is up to you, but I reported it to Tumblr bc holy fuck dude. that’s too much instant power

Tumblr Support just said this is a feature, not a glitch.

holy SHIT

Hey y’all. With the Writer’s Guild of America on strike, you might be hearing a lot more about something called “residuals,” which are payments that the writers get for the studios continuing to air their work on reruns and such. Already I’m seeing people trying to frame the union trying to bargain for better residuals as greedy and unreasonable, so I just wanted to give you guys a peek into my dad’s full, 100% real residual payments for writing some of the most watched episodes of American late night television.

Yeah lol. If u hear anyone trying to frame the conversation around residuals as writers being greedy, please do me a favor and punch them straight in the face ❤️🙃🙃

The last time I saw any real money from film and TV was in 2008, when I got a substantial cheque from the WGA (who administer residuals and such) for my share as cowriter of the Beowulf DVD. And then DVDs were done and became a niche market.

These days residuals are… well, something you can take a friend to dinner with. Not something you could pay a monthly mortgage or the rent with.

(And I’m fine. My TV work over the last 5 years has been subsidised by my book and comics work.)

But I just got one even smaller than the one cent residuals…

As everyone knows, names have great power in the world of the Fae. Today, you helped a sick and dying Fae creature by pointing out a spelling error in their True Name.

Fahrenheit is the nicest temperature scale because its the only one where 69 degrees is survivable.

Anyway this leads me to the second point:

If my math is correct then about 15 million years after the big bang (z=106.7 (15.072 Myr)), the universe was nice.

That’s just facts tho:
69°F -> Not too hot, not to cold all you need is a light jacket. Perfectly survivable with no gear
69°C -> 12 degrees above the hottest recorded temperature on earth (56.7°C)
69K -> >200 degrees BELOW the freezing point of water (ALSO below the coldest recorded temperature on earth (183.95K))

Thus the other two aren’t nice.

Oops it turns out Disney’s lawsuit against the Florida governor is based on a constitutional clause which says that states can’t pass laws to interfere with private contracts. Historically this is something courts have used to strike down basic labour protections like minimum wages. So if the Supreme Court decides to give Disney a win here by saying “um actually any contact betwen private individuals is completely fine and beyond any kind of state regulation” (which would be wildly broad but also that’s how this Supreme Court sometimes behaves) then stay tuned for a lot of terrible lawsuits eroding a lot of basic protections for workers and renters and anyone else who’s signed a contract with a vastly more powerful entity.

[[sadly puts away my “let them fight” jpeg and pulls out my “no matter who wins, we lose” jpeg]]

This is such a bad take, that clause is specifically about contracts that the government is a party in. ie the government can’t just say “just kidding” after they got the benefits of a contract.
