I just want everyone to know what in about to say is a condemnation of both Biden and our whole governmental system:
Biden could not legally try to bypass Congress on issues like student loans, the climate, or social issues. The administration tried an executive action to bypass Congress with student loans and the conservative majority Supreme Count struck it down. Some of the major covid restrictions and aid were through executive order.
Being able to bypass Congress on matters of the military or arms sales has been legal precedent for decades. It’s perfectly acceptable, legal, expected, and frankly encouraged at this point.
It’s not just a Biden thing, even though he’s awful for even doing it, it’s that our system is fully built on this. He’s awful for gleefully participating in a genocide, but he’s not uniquely awful. It’s a systemic issue that even allows and empowers this kind of behavior.

So yeah this goes back to at LEAST the Iran-Contra affair (under Republican present Ronald Regan) where everyone found guilty was then pardoned by President George H. W. Bush, you know, the guy who was Vice President during the Iran-Contra affair.
King Altador, King Coltzan, and Jeran for Lupe Day!
Unfortunately this one didn’t get into the Art Gallery, but it was so nostalgic to go back to these iconic characters. I’ll have to do one with Lupe villains next.
Hiromu Arakawa’s genius is obvious throughout all of FMA but her first and biggest leap of genius was in how she crafted her protagonist.
Arakawa realized the burgeoning youth of the early 2000s wasnt interested in another plucky spry optimistic young shonen protag. Instead she gave us a short ugly egotistical asshole smarter-than-you atheist with so much money and power that people could no longer best him in arguments by telling him “dude shut up ur literally like 12″
Five pages in we’re told Edward’s famous and rich and powerful. Five more pages and he’s calling some girl stupid for thinking God exists. Five more pages and he’s proven right. Five more and he’s kicked an evil priest’s teeth in. And no one can tell his mom on him.
Hiromu Arakawa figured out the dream of every edgy young weeb discovering internet arguments for the first time and she cast them an idol made of gold.
It’s like the original protagonist got turned into a suit of armor, so his asshole sidekick had to fill in as the face.
bastille has done more for the queer community by just making all of their love songs about “you” instead of specifying a gender than taylor swift has in all of her discography. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

If you had asked me 20 years ago what Neopet I wanted most of all, it would have been the incredibly rare, coveted, and downright gorgeous Maraquan Draik.
I am so excited to welcome Eninu home to the clear waters of the castaway cove!
