Seen a couple discord links, please don’t make personal discords you’re primary space to be, unless someone pays for nitro they can only join 100 servers, and trying to keep up with every artist’s discord is not a reasonable task. Please set up on here or Cohost or something actually public facing.
If you’re an artist, especially a commission artist jumping into the walled garden of your personal discord server in response to this news is only going to hurt your chances of finding an audience.
Joining a discord is a commitment on a much higher scale than following someone on a public website. If you’re giving up on social media because twitter is dead and you somehow legitimately believe there’s nothing here on tumblr, get your own site.
Keeping your art accessible is the only way it’s gonna maintain and increase an audience. I’m sure as fuck not joining a new discord for every account i follow on Twitter even if it were possible.
