for the record: the talk of coyotes is because there are no wolves here on my island. they are extinct and we imported coyotes to take their place (it did not work well)

The paladin kept telling me that making poisons was a waste of time and money because “Firebolt is more consistent damage” and “abilities that force the enemy to roll CON saves are bad because pretty much everyone has a positive CON modifier” and “poison is the most commonly-resisted damage type anyway,” but last session I got to use the HELL out of my poisons against an encounter like this, and it was FANTASTIC
