Varok Saurfang, like many veterans, copes with his PTSD by volunteering. My grandfather was a WWII vet and electrical engineer. When he was 89 years old, he started volunteering by teaching advanced math to fifth graders. He went on to volunteer for ten full years, yes, until he was 99 years old. He sadly passed away at 101 years old earlier this year, but he lived a long and full life.
I feel like Saurfang would do the same thing in a modern AU! The class here is a bit younger (I don’t know why, I can’t draw kids LOL) but I think being around youth gives him life. Since it’s a modern AU and it’s supposed to be fun and positive, I say Dranosh still lives!
