The best thing you can do with budding artists is show them the tricks that you use but don’t peddle it like it’s the correct way. Leave it open for people to experiment.

The only wrong way is when you steal the work or designs of another and claim it as your own. That’s about it.

You do whatever you want. That’s the point of art, it’s a completely open and free-to-manipulate medium where you can get everything from doodles to illustrations, stories to jokes, and more out for others to digest.

To tell people “you have to  do X before you can Y” shows a lack of knowledge. You can do B before A, G after W, you can do anything you fucking please.
