Hatred.. which ties into what would he do if his mate died.
We’ve talked about it before- what would happen if Zanalie died. Unaware of the consequences, Rinniell would most likely end up raising her into undeath just to keep her with him. Truthfully he’s never been able to let her go even with their time apart. She’s all he has and losing her would be devastating, she’s become kind of his purpose. It would just lead him into making some poor decisions. Instead of having her continue to be with him happily even in death, she’d completely despise him. There’s a chance she’d try and off herself. Who would want to live that life? Especially someone so against the idea of undead. Being a lifebinder and all. Of course she’d fail (because of him, she’d never actually leave) And eventually come back around Rinniell, but he wouldn’t be forgiven (probably).
