“There was mixed reaction in a Las Vegas strip audience Wednesday night when what appeared to be the President of the United States doing the Twist with a dozen show girls. Of course, it wasn’t really President Kennedy, but whoever it was certainly looked and sounded like the chief executive … The dancing display was the curtain raiser at actress Debbie Reynolds’ nightclub debut at the Riviera Hotel. Some people laughed and some people didn’t and the odds were that the skit would not last out the full engagement because it was thought by many observers to be in questionable taste.
