To elaborate: Blackout Day highlighted Black people. It showed that black people come in all shades from all places. Latin@, Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern. There were men there were women, there were genderqueer individuals. There were abled and disabled, proud and hurt people, there was everyone.
It was about Blackness reclaiming its beauty in the face of hurt and slander, about all of us being proud of who we are.
‘Selfie Week’ is a well thought out attempt at giving white people a selfie day by tucking themselves in with other races, because honestly no racially aware white person would advocate a white selfie day when they know good and well that white people are the defacto default acceptable/beautiful person on magazines, in tv, everywhere, and that blackness is seen as unworthy all around the world.
By trying to piggyback directly on BlackoutDay it diminishes the impact of Blackoutday for what it was, and it’s hurtful. It follows a long habit of white people coming up with a way to weaken, disperse and devalue black movements. It’s the selfie version of:
“Black people are beautiful :)” “Um, don’t you mean ALL people?”
Boycott Selfie Week.

Want a darker skinned version of Sin’dorei in your game? WELL, THIS IS THE PATCH FOR YOU. Due to the nature of WoW modding, it replaces skin tone 5 so every character using that skin tone will now have the darker skin. I -think- it works for NPCs as well.
How do you get this, you ask? I’m about to tell you.
Backup all of your executables (WoW.exe and WoW-64.exe)
Drag and drop the contents of the rar file into your World of Warcraft directory.
Overwrite the exes if it prompts you.
And that’s all there is to it! I cannot stress enough that you backup your exe files.

I seem to remember some kerfuffle in the past regarding players modding the appearance of their toon, but those were admittedly all “adult” mods like big ol tiddies so I don’t know if that had something to do with it. I’d advise caution either way, but this is still really neat!
90% of the time Blizzard takes action against players that call attention to themselves. For the most part you’ll be OK if you don’t do that. Just be careful
I deleted my response VS the comments on figgeryboo’s DK, the ones about flowers being associated with undead characters to mask the scent of disease and decay — it looks like warchiefkargath and concerned friends misinterpreted Fig’s whole character concept, which started all this.
Mistakes happen and I mean, its hard to believe someone would legit try to claim such a popular concept in the first place so.. im sure they dont need anymore comments about it. They did apologize. Everything is probably good between them now or will be whenever Fig wakes up lol
