Or my parents, laughing together on the veranda as the sun set slowly over the forest.

His hair would normally be blue-white, but he found out in Northrend that mortals are slightly less unsettled by his appearance when his hair is colored (which made it a lot easier to give them orders.)
Luckily many blood elves are vain, (tev is too, in this respect) so it’s fairly easy for him to color his hair.
