please don’t watch exodus: gods and kings because it’s icky and racist. you deserve better. you deserve the prince of egypt.
May I also add that The Prince of Egypt’s accuracy has been approved by not only Christianity, but by Judaism and Islam as well! So it’s actually the most accurately told version out there!
fun story in my Intro to Judaism class two years ago, my rabbi told us that her rabbi at rabbinical school was consulted as this film was being made, because dreamworks wanted a worldwide release so they went to her rabbi like, “look, is there any way we can tell this story without having the bad guys be egyptian, because we really don’t want to alienate our egyptian audience.” clearly her rabbi looked at them like they were idiots, so the egyptians stayed egyptians
