I AM PRETTY SURE THAT DKS CAN’T GROW HAIR BACK SO IF HE SHAVED OFF HIS PUBES HE WOULD NEVER GET THEM BACK :V (hi almost falling asleep at computer don’t mind me)I am going to regret in the future launching into another ramble about lore underneath a comment talking about my character’s pubic hair but god dammit this is also something I think about a lot (no not death knight pubes but things growing back in general hush).
BUT YES SOME CAN GROW HAIR okay when Thassarian was killed he had a fuzzbeard and now he has a wondrous chin-mane.I have a personal headcanon for how their magic works and how it ties in with their regeneration just based on what sketchy lore there is about runeblades/scourge magic and DK abilities. I think it would depend entirely on what physical state they were in that their hair could continuously grow (Thassarian was raised instantly, so it makes sense), but in Oliver’s case (weeoo headcanon alert), he’s perpetually stuck in the exact state he was risen and will keep regenerating to that state as long as his blade remains fed. Even if someone were to graft skin back onto his face, it would eventually just decay away, because the magic will only keep sustaining what it has been. It’s also how his bug swarm can live inside him without destroying him, assuming he’s able to keep feeding his blade. If not they’d probably eat him alive.So I guess all that to say that he could theoretically regrow his pubes.Bless this website for making me type that sentence.
This is pretty much what I figured. Blood DKs especially, the magic that animates them basically tries to undo any sort of damage; so say an arm gets lopped off, its really just a matter of finding it, putting it in approximately the right place and then having the scourge magic do its thing. And it has the added effect of freaking the hell out of your opponent.
I’d say a (very)skilled necromancer could probably alter things, but good luck finding one of those now, especially since we’ve decimated the Scourge.
