They should be paid a living wage and no tipping required, I don’t think I should have to pay for expensive food + tipping. If these companies can afford to put out “premium" food which anyone who has worked in the industry knows they use ingredients from the lowest bidder. They can also afford to pay their employees a living wage.
A living wage would be so much nicer.
Yeah it’s a shitty system, but the waitstaff is on the ones that that fustration should be taken out on.
isn’t it illegal to not give a tip or something in the US? Like, doesn’t a small percentage of the bill automatically go to your waiter/waitress?
The tip isn’t part of the bill. It’s voluntarily added by customers after paying the full bill.
Its voluntary like saying please and thank you and generally being a decent person. You don’t have to do any of these things but people are going to think you’re an asshole if you don’t.
