On that note I’ve seen people express that they’re nervous to give artists gift art of their characters because they’re afraid they’ll look like amateurs or the artist won’t like it

as an artist with a moderate amount of skill your drawing could be a microsoft paint stick man doodle and I will love it because you drew it and you put effort into making a gift
and I’m pretty sure that’s how most artists feel.
