He’s thanking her for her criticism because that’s the polite thing to do when being judged for something you are pursuing a career in. She showed her complete and total lack of class and tact by misinterpreting his thanks as an acceptance of a compliment. It put her in her place in a very discreet yet sick as hell way. Basically, he revealed that she is trash in a very polite way.

Whoops my hand slipped. I really wanted to finish this but regretted that need when I realized how advantageous my character turnarounds are to have… I just put Thommus’ transmog together before starting this, and not having that understanding/colour scheme… yikes. It’ll likely get tweaked. And I 100% cheated on his shoulder armour for the same reason. (Lyra’s is half done and I’ve drawn her in that armour before).
