The poor old guy isn’t the prettiest flower in the garden haha.

Just some reference doodles, wanted to draw his everyday clothes, if he’s not wearing his armor… which he usually does. But if not, it’s just gonna be pants, boots, and lots of belts just because. Shirt is optional. His “please for the love of Light put something decent on” clothes are always pretty victorian-inspired.

Annd just wanted to show his ears and hands because I typically simplify stuff when drawing, but uh. Yeah, the ears are deformed and pointy, only vaguely  reminiscent of human ears, and very torn. His hands have… pretty damn large claws that shouldn’t be there but are good enough for tearing someone’s throat out without much effort even when he’s not wearing his gauntlets.

I’m sorry, all I’ve been drawing lately is this nerd. Bird nerd.

Figured I should make use of that collection of Adrien Brody photos I saved for Vronaak reference and do some nose practise (does it even count as practise if 2/3 of the heads are just ¾-view?). Also sorta expression practise. Which I apparently desperately need. Last one was the original sketch I did pre-refsheet.
