Hey everyone, before this post takes off any more here than it already has, I’d like to clarify that this story is fake. The only source I can find is Creambmp.com, which is a (very badly done) self-proclaimed “Parody and Satire” site.

I can’t find any source on this that doesn’t reference back to creambmp’s “article” as the source. In addition, that crusty old dude they used as the header for the article isn’t even Marc Brown. This is Marc Brown:
I’d just like to make this clear before the wrong idea spreads around too much. This kinda thing can fuck with people’s emotions pretty badly, especially if you grew up enjoying the show and his books a lot as a kid. It especially hurts since he seems like a genuinely nice person, as far as I can find.
