Here’s a thing that happened to one of my friends. I was there.
Basically, we were walking down the sidewalk, talking about something meaningless. I think it had to do with a movie. Then this car screeches up, stops next to us, and the car was covered in hammers and it exploded and the hammers went flying everywhere. I was punched and kicked a bit too (by the hammers. from the exploding car), but I managed to avoid brutalization by not protesting this case. After figuring out what’s happening, I started attacking them back (the hammers), getting them off of him. He was quite injured but I called the FBI and he made a full recovery at the hospital. I was fine, with only a cut on my arm that they patched up.
Tumblr will allow 1000 porn blogs showing cis women porn stars getting railed. Tumblr will allow porn blogs to steal content from trans women and pretend to be that trans woman. Neither of which will have proper tags or labels, but God forbid a trans woman voice her opinion on tumblr, or she’ll be fully wiped and permabanned with no recourse without even coming close to violating ToS.
its fascinating how very very surface level 1920s-ish jazz age inspired aesthetics are very popular (see: hazbin hotel and electroswing and the endless wave of bowtie pinstripe character designs from the 2010s) but the vast vast majority of people who are into that seem fundamentally disinterested in actually engaging with actual jazz age art and culture because that would require engaging with black art

idk how many of you remember this but a few years ago tumblr ran a universally panned ad campaign for (us american) pride month that went “the gayest place on the internet”.
well someone planning that campaign dropped in to ask the queer automatticians for advice on that and universally me and the other trans people involved were like “don’t do it. i am so serious. don’t do it. people on tumblr won’t understand that it wasn’t automattic who instituted the porn ban, or they will, but they’ll recognize that automattic hasn’t done anything, hands tied or not, to reverse it. nobody will like this. it will be a disaster.” and they thanked us for our thoughts and went ahead with it anyway and then had to do retrospectives about how badly it went and were like “we just didn’t know” and [gestures] yeah
