Starting tomorrow, reblogs will have a new look—one completely breaks a format established through over 30 years of internet posting. Our change to reblog captions last month laid the necessary groundwork for us to arrive here, at a place where the dashboard will be even longer than before and without the ability to connect who was talking to whom. Here’s how this will look (original on the left, new look on the right):

Q: Will this show up for all posts on the dashboard, or just the posts published from here on out? A: All posts! Why would you ever want to see old posts in the gross standard format. We’ve always been at war with Eastasia.
Q: Will it look like this on my blog? A: Thank god, no new look is on the dashboard only, for now.
Q: Can I edit earlier reblogs, or the original post, in my reblog? A: You can choose whether or not you want to include that stuff in your own reblog, but you can’t really go in and edit other people’s text. We know—that level of flexibility allowed you guys do some pretty interesting stuff, but it also made misattribution way too easy. Because, you know, its not like you didn’t have a hand link to the original post or anything.
Q: Can I remove all captions on a post that I’m reblogging? A: Sure. Click or tap the reblog button and click on the X that appears when you hover over the comments.
Q: Can I delete a single reblog caption within the thread? A: No, who the fuck would want to do that, everything on your dash should be a mile long. That way we can say engagment is at an all time high and drive more people to our advertising platform.
Q: How can I be sure my posts are credited properly? A: Use the content source field! Of course, nobody will ever actually look at that, sorry.
i’m in a bad place, a really bad place. its been bad for a while, but it just got a lot worse, and as much as i hate doing this, i really, really need help. some of you might recall i opened a gofundme a while back, but because of family almost finding it, i had to shut it down. im placing a paypal donation button on my page– all of the money earned will go towards paying for my medications (which im on nearly a dozen of), doctor visits, and fixing our car.
i know this is a lot to ask and its really sudden, and i’m really sorry- i just need to make enough for a while so that i can get a few of these medications so that i can function. i will try to re-open commissions after this batch is finished, for those who want to be compensated for what they give.
