There’s a bunch of weird dickery at the end of the Arthas novel and he kinda gets stabbed with a mental version of Frostmourne. I assume that since it’s Arthas it does the same thing as what happens when you get stabbed w/ actual Frostmourne
Ner’zhul was probably one of the souls swirling around Arthas at the end of ICC.
