I am not giving AI a pass here, and i deffo don’t want to be like “yet you participate in society”. But since someone pointed out cypto is guilty of this too:

I would like people to be mindful that this is a result of any sort of thing that needs ultra high density computing in a datacenter environment (especially if it needs GPUs)

(Datacenter environments specifically because the cooling equipment there uses water to move heat out of the computer room, unlike residential AC)

So the next techbro hyperscale cloud bullshit will also have this issue too.
