Seems like everyone who is “against” the faction conflict lacks objectivity and is applying presentism to their views. In a pseudo-historical setting war over territories is common place. Given both factions have committed more atrocities against the other in the history of the franchise than any other villain has (and not been stopped), It only makes sense that now that the world is safe from the legion they turn their attention to their greatest enemy; the opposing faction.

Ehhh…I think that’s a bit of an unfair assessment. Just because they might prefer one outcome of the story over another doesn’t mean they can’t still have fun and enjoy it the way it is, I know I will. I think people are just really invested and having a fun time talking, which in my opinion makes the whole thing a success. If it were boring we wouldn’t bother! 🙂

Plus you know, this whole thing is fake and the point of the game is to have fun.

It’s not pesudo-historical when there’s dragons and FTL starships and selfie cameras.
