ay can we stop pretending like ADHD isn’t a Real Mental Health Issue and is Easy To Deal With? it’s a hugely detrimental disorder that effects performance in school and at work, and personal relationships on multiple levels. with ADHD it’s difficult to implement the routines necessary for day to day functioning. maybe educate yourself before criticizing a disorder that’s very fucking hard to live with. 

for those unaware, I’ve been told by several friends they didn’t know this, adhd can effect basic survival rituals. Adhd makes sleep nearly impossible most of the time, makes cooking a too long task which c a n easily lead to a microwave diet, it makes basic reading and comprehension without interest physically exhausting (FYI that means us adults with adhd are fucked) and can even cause major, drastic mood swings as our energy plummets and skyrockets sometimes even resulting in straight up manic episodes. ADHD & ADD are very serious and real stop acting like they’re not a big deal.

Just in case these things aren’t clear for someone yet:

If you steal someone’s art/character/idea/basically steal something, it it still stealing after you say

“I didn’t mean anything bad with it.”

What did you mean with it then?

“I didn’t know I was doing something wrong.”

Have you been living/raised in a barrel if you don’t know stealing is wrong?

“I wouldn’t mind if someone did this to me.”

a) I don’t believe you and b) you should. You definitely should.

“It’s just a drawing/character/design.”

It’s still not yours and as it is not yours, you have no right to take it.

“I thought no one would find out.”

This only shows you did it intentionally, hoping to get away with stealing. Feeling proud?

“Please don’t say about this to my friends.”

Seriously what.

“I don’t want any harm to come from this to my rp partners/rp community.”

You probably should have thought this before stealing the stuff and using it in some community. When you do something stupid, it has certain consequences and you will live with them. Better start learning it, because that is how life works.

It was perfect for me and my uses too, that is the reason why I made it for myself /  it was perfect for the person who commissioned it from me for their uses. 

“If you didn’t want it to be used like this, you shouldn’t have posted it.”

If you are seriously trying to guilt trip me or make me feel bad for doing my art (for fun or for job) and being creative, and posting my creations on the site what supports copyrights only to make some shitty excuse for your theft, not only are you being stupid, you are being an absolute dickhead. Did you even think that maybe you shouldn’t have stolen anything if you didn’t want to be called out for it? Oh right, you didn’t.

“But that is the way I have always imagined my character to look like.”

If you have ‘always’ imagined your own character to look like that how come you have to steal and use mine then?

And something I want to say to everyone who has temptation to steal someone else’s art or character design for their own rp uses: rp is about creativity and imagination, and creating stories. Simply said it’s creating something of your own in some given context with other people. If you cheat on that and don’t even see the trouble of making your own character, lack the spine to save the money for commissioning someone to draw for you, or learning to draw yourself (which is not some rocket science, just slow) by any excuse, you are seriously just a piece of shit. It will make you a liar, a jerk and a coward. You are not being creative, not imaginative and neither you create things of your own. You are just a thief. That is my honest opinion of you. It’s not very passionate opinion, it’s that kind of opinion I give to a person who is not worth much attention.

Stealing is never okay and it’s never cool, and neither it is cool from any individual or community to support that kind of behavior.

Because clearly this kind of basic stuff isn’t clear for some people, let’s have this here again.

I want to add that if anyone ever uses the excuse of age for stealing: unless you are literally 5 years old, I’m not gonna buy that. If you are old enough (usually 13+ years) to have an account in DA, Tumblr, Weasyl, where ever, you are old enough to be able to read the rules of those places which clearly state that stealing and using someone else’s work is not tolerated since it is WRONG and illegal because it breaks the copyright laws. And if seriously someone of that age or older does not know stealing is wrong it is time to learn that.
