Potential verse idea:

     Arthas’ corruption didn’t finish in the snows of Northrend. Rather, when he returned home victorious to a welcoming father and a joyous country, he accepted it all with a thin smile and a stayed hand. If his hair is paler, and the shadows around his eyes darker (and if he is never parted from that macabre sword), no one minds. Northrend changes people, after all.

     It just changes Arthas a bit more slowly than usual.

     Arthas, who is quiet than usual, but whose tongue is sharper than ever.
     (He always had a quick wit.)

     Arthas, around whom plants seem to decay a little quicker.
     (It’s the gardeners; they’ve been slacking their duties, and it’s been a warm summer.)

     Arthas, who avoids Uther like the Plague.
     (They had a nasty falling out right before that tragic Stratholme incident.)

     Arthas, who uses a sword instead of a hammer.
     (In honor of poor Muradin.)

     Arthas, who calls upon the Light less and less.
     (He’s finally learning the power of moderation.)

     Arthas, who went to Northrend golden and came back pale.
     (Northrend changes people.)
