@people saying asexuals have it easy: looked at the tag recently? It’s absolutely full of people saying they don’t think asexuality is real, or that asexuals don’t belong in the queer community because we pass as straight. It’s also full of asexuals talking about coming out and being told that this is just a phase, that they need sex to live a full life, that something is wrong with them. And that’s just public response. Being asexual complicates other aspects of life as well, from your own thoughts to relationships to living in a hypersexualized society. It ain’t a walk in the park. We just make it look easy.
