do you ever worry about how your art might not be as good as everyone else, how people you knew years ago who could only do bad anime doodles are now somehow surpassing you and getting careers in the industry while you feel stagnant and stuck, drawing troll dicks for menial money?
Nope. I’m quite happy with where my art is skill-wise, and I love drawing troll dicks. I made $1400 off of the few commissions I did last month on top of my usual salary and my freelance work. Does that constitute as menial? IDK. Subjective I suppose.
And I am really happy for my peers who are doing very well in whatever creative endeavors they’ve decided to pursue. They’ve worked hard and I am cheering for them every day, and they’re only further motivation to pursue my own creative goals.
