Ro’liath turned to the fellow knight, holding his coin pounch in a taloned gauntlet and seemingly studying it’s contents. Except there were none. He looked at Tevruden, offering a sheepish grin, “Got any uh, spare change?” He asked before turning his gaze back to the vendor whom was by now, tapping their foot.

Tevruden shrugs, and manages to produce a stack of gold coins from somewhere in his armor. He doesn’t take any back when the vendor tells him he’s overpaid, or even bother waiting for the change.

“Food, again? We do not even need to eat—” he stops short. “At least you got some for me this time.”

Ro’liath smirks wide at Tev as they make their way back down the road, “What? I’m a creature of habit and I can still use my taste buds.” He shrugs and opens the sack of cookies.

He pulls one out and hands it to the knight before grabbing another for himself, “I used to go to that baker all the time when I was alive, his stuff is the best.”

“Yes, but I am sure that a mortal would be injured if they ate this much. This is the third time today." Tevruden takes the cookie offered to him and slowly chews on it for a while as they walk. While undeath had dulled his sense of taste somewhat, what remained gave him something to focus on while he thought.

"I admit there is a certain perverse pleasure in the idea that eating, of all things, is just another thing we can do better  than the living. Come on, I know a place off to the left here, they had really good food before I died.”

He grins. “My treat; I bet we could scare them with the amount of food we order.”
