“I would call you a liar if you did.” Tevruden unraveled the bandages at his friends’ arm, looking over the scratches Van had placed into his skin to the point where the medical staff had bandaged his fingers to keep him from scratching, “It could be worse.”

“How?” Van snapped his head back up, looking at Tev dead in the face, his anger slowly melting away to a bitter sadness as he leaned forward, resting his forehead against the others, “I’m sorry Tev.”
