A portal open to alternate-universe Azeroth wouldn’t result in an alternate Bolvar, at least not one who’s all badass and cool – the first Horde invasion took place when Bolvar/Jaina/Varian and other humans of that “generation” were kids or not even born yet.
It was somewhere around 30-40 years ago (depending on what timeline you use), so you’re right, he’d just be a child. This is what I get for posting just after waking up. I just- can’t fathom any other rationale for how this could possibly be a thing unless they’re going to open more portals into other timelines or Bolvar’s Scourge just suddenly bursts through the portal like the fucking Kool-Aid man in which case
