And he’s riding a giant dire wolf.
Now, the thing he does when in the middle of a battle(depending on what’s happening, of course)… He’ll always try to go for high-priority targets, riding the creature. And while that usually draws some attention, the paladin is u ignored most of the times, seeing how he’s clearly young and not a high-ranking knight, and doesn’t appear to be a formidable opponent, and he doesn’t do anything that would draw too much attention to him.
You know, until he gets too close, and then it’s too late already. The young man may be a good combatant, yeah, but what can one average paladin do – OH SHIT.
