I wish the DK-only skin colors for male blood elves didn’t have the ridiculously high cheekbones (I know, I know, corpse)

I’d use them on Tev if that were the case.

Give him less colour and look a bit more dead?

Yeah the skin I currently use is the palest one for blood elves. When I draw him I typically go with a bluer skin tone than in game. It actually looks correct in places like Icecrown and Kun-Lai Summit:
