So, here’s a headcanon’d Sporebat that Garrosh found at the border between Zangarmarsh and Nagrand and befriended as a child. They grew up through the years and he kept the (probably mutated) bugger by his side, eventually learning to ride it as others would the Talbuks.
After taking it with him to Azeroth, some incident led to its head being cut off shortly before Garrosh and Varian are turned. Not wanting to leave it behind, our dear Hellscream plucked a random skull out of nowhere, attached it and reanimated his childhood friend.
